Autumn sea swim and writing workshop at Newgate Gap, Margate
About this event
Arrive from 9.30am, prompt start at 10am, ending approx 12.30pm
Join Kate Malyon & Dr Sé M. Nomyo for a two-hour writing workshop.
This workshop follows the same format as the August session. Returning participants can explore how prompts shift across seasons, and newcomers are very welcome too!
Meet at Flints by Newgate Gap (at the Project space on the slope - NOT at the kiosk by the beach), where you'll begin by watching Return to Water, a short film co-created by Sé and Kate.
From there, you'll move through a series of writing prompts designed to help you tune into yourself and your surroundings - with an element of sea swimming woven in.
You don’t have to have to be a writer or have ever written before. Equally, if you’re a writer who might get something out of the experience, you’re very welcome.
What to bring: your swimming kit, something warm to change into afterwards, and your preferred writing tools (notebook, pen, laptop - whatever works for you).
You'll finish the session with some optional sharing and a drink at the Flints kiosk.
