In Conversation with Clive Stevens, Deputy Lieutenant of Kent
Fizz • Nibbles • Conversation • Community
Join us at Churchill Living for an informal afternoon of information and conversation, giving us a little insight into the world of the Kent Lieutenancy.
The Lord-Lieutenant of Kent is His Majesty The King’s representative in the county , and Deputy Lieutenants support the Lord-Lieutenant in carrying out this role and engaging with communities across Kent.
Come along and meet Clive Stevens DL , one of Kent’s Deputy Lieutenants and a key link between the Lieutenancy and our local Thanet community, for a friendly and relaxed afternoon in Broadstairs.
Clive will give us a short and interesting insight into what a Deputy Lieutenant actually does , his role within our local community and the work of the Kent Lieutenancy.
He'll also tell us a little more about the King’s Awards for Enterprise and King’s Award for Voluntary Service , including how they recognise the amazing achievements of businesses, charities, voluntary organisations and community groups across Kent.
Debra Owen-Hughes will introduce Clive and chair the question-and-answer session , giving you the opportunity to ask Clive about his role, the Lieutenancy, the awards and anything else you might be curious to know.
But you don't need to be interested in the awards to come along!
This is an opportunity for people from across our local community to come together, meet Clive, hear a little about his role, ask questions, make connections and enjoy a sociable afternoon.
Whether you're involved in business, volunteering, a charity or community group — or you're simply curious to meet a Deputy Lieutenant and find out more about what the role involves — you'll be very welcome.
